Retired BBC film editor and director, Peter Symes, will tell the story of one of the first Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes which saw students from the UK travel across land to India. The journey, which began in July 1967, consisted of ten buses traversing many countries and offering an experience that would not be possible today. Along the way the students made lifelong friendships and shared many adventures as well as tragedy. This is their story.
